Realisation

Not having seen any of the Oscar-nominated movies really takes the buzz out of watching the Oscars.

I saw the Edith Piaf movie because it came highly recommended by Floy and I was blown away by Marion Cotillard. I thought she was brillant. I was in awe watching her. When I watched her, I thought how can anyone beat her? The parents watched Michael Clayton and enjoyed it.

But you're right. I didn't see alot of films this year. This will be the second Oscar show in a row that I haven't been able to watch because of work. Sigh.

Lars,
Just realised that Juno stars the actress who was in Hard Candy! And the guy in Super Bad. Both those I loved. So that's the next one I want to see. I also want to see Michael Clayton, and the Coen brothers' movie. Although Jessica Z. says there's nothing like There Will Be Blood. Of course, I don't understand how I could have missed Sweeny Tod as a Sondheim lover. I didn't know it was the exact same musical...

I would highly recommend that you watch Once, Noelle. :)

A bittersweet romance involving real-life non-actor, musicians/artists. Lovely, lovely music. I think you'd like it.

I watched Sweeney Todd and loved it. Even though it was sooooo bloody! Johnny Depp is fabulous! How could you have missed that? Mom had a hard time with all the blood though. I didn't but I wouldn't bring in pizza or hamburgers to eat while I watched it which alot of people did.

Michael Sena. I think that's the name of the guy in Superbad and Juno. Saw Superbad and enjoyed it but haven't had time to watch Juno.

I haven't seen Once yet but Tintin and JV recommended it too.

Have you seen Across the Universe? Its a musical built around the songs of the beatles....so the main characters' names are Jude and Lucy. Its directed by Julie Traymor, did I spell that right?, the woman who directed Lion King on stage. I thought it was pretty good and some really lovely interpretations of Beatles songs. There's a pinay it who sings I want to hold your hand.

Apparently, this is me. Now which card are you?

You are The Wheel of Fortune

Good fortune and happiness but sometimes a species of intoxication with success

The Wheel of Fortune is all about big things, luck, change, fortune. Almost always good fortune. You are lucky in all things that you do and happy with the things that come to you. Be careful that success does not go to your head however. Sometimes luck can change.
